Covid-19

Current advice on Covid-19 and practice procedures

We are following advice from the government and our professional bodies about how to operate, and will keep this page updated as advice changes.

At present we are happy to allow people into the building to accompany their pets as long as they are well. If you would rather stay outside we can accommodate this. The use of face masks is up to individuals.

The guidance on Living Safely with respiratory infections including coronavirus (COVID-19) issued in April 2022, still applies:
The government has removed remaining domestic restrictions in England. There are still steps you can take to reduce the risk of catching and spreading COVID-19:
- Get vaccinated if you are eligible.
- Let fresh air in if meeting indoors, or meet outside
Consider wearing a face covering in crowded, enclosed spaces
- Practise good hygiene:
wash your hands with warm, soapy water
cover your coughs and sneezes
clean your surroundings frequently.

What to do if you have symptoms
If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as COVID-19 or flu, and you have a high temperature or do not feel well enough to go to work or carry out normal activities, try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people, until you no longer have a high temperature (if you had one) or until you no longer feel unwell.

If you need to go out, then avoid close contact with anyone who you know is at higher risk of becoming seriously unwell. The full guidance on what to do if you have symptoms is available at: Guidance for Living Safely with respiratory infections including coronavirus (COVID-19).

We have been open throughout the pandemic providing care to clients and their pets in as normal a manner as possible. This has meant a great commitment from all staff, and a degree of tolerance from clients, so thank you.
This is still a strange situation for us all so please feel free to call and discuss your situation if you are not sure what to do about your pet.

Stay safe. Best wishes from David, Becci and Kate.
