Golden Oldies Club 50% Discount

If your dog is aged 8 years or older, or your cat is 10 years or older you can take advantage of a fantastic 50% reduction on our Golden Oldies Club membership during March 2010. For an annual fee your pet will get a veterinary examination, blood and urine tests and blood pressure check. There is then a free examination by the nurse in 6 months and another urine sample examination. This is normally priced at £70 (price for these tests individually would be over £100) but during March 2010 will be just £35.

Top Dog Day Out

On Sunday September 6th 2009 we supported the Top Dog Day Out at Haldon Forest. The day ran from 10.30am to 4.30pm and was absolutely free! There were dog demonstrations including agility, obedience, dog dancing, flyball and a gundog scurry. We had a stand at this event and held a free prize draw. It was a fun, family day out in beautiful surroundings with great weather and will take place at a similar time next year. Keep a look out here or on the Forestry Commission website for further details.

Vaccine Amnesty Success

During June 2009 20 cats, five dogs and one rabbit restarted their vaccination programmes thanks to our participation in Vaccine Amnesty Month. Eleven of these pets are aged nine or over showing that it's never too late to start protecting your pet. Ideally starting a vaccine program at the recommended nine weeks for cats, and eight weeks for dogs, and continuing with annual boosters throughout their lives is the most effective method of protecting your pet from the many potentially fatal diseases that they can be exposed to. But well done to all those owners who joined in the vaccine amnesty.
