who we are | what we can do | how to find us

David Rudman BVSc, MRCVS is the Veterinary Surgeon and qualified at Bristol University in 1987. He worked as a partner dealing with small animal work in a large mixed practice for over 11 years, but decided to found Ark Vets to provide a more personal service dealing entirely with pets. He has a particular interest in medical cases, and the use of ultrasound and radiography. David shares his house with 2 greyhounds and a collie.

Becci Gidley RVN is our practice nurse. She loves all animals but is particularly fond of her barmy bull terrier cross “Dooley”. She can provide advice on how to care for your pets and assists with surgical and hospitalized cases.

Sarah Thompson BSc (Hons) also works on reception. Sarah has a great interest in horses, which she rides and shows, as well as having 2 Springer Spaniels.

Puppy Parties at Ark Vets

Becci and Sarah are now running a 5 week puppy party course on a weekday evening (the day of week and the exact time changes each course according to when most people can make it). It is primarily to give puppies a chance to socialise. Becci and Sarah also give short talks, advice, and answer questions on all areas of dog care: from fleas and worming, first aid and the law regarding identification to training techniques. The classes are free to clients provided puppies must have started a full course of vaccinations before they can attend. We have just finished our second set of parties of which you can see some photographs below. Just click on the links to see them!
